Brez’n is Singapore’s latest Bavarian restaurant that serves up traditional German recipes. The restaurant is helmed by Former Executive Chef of Brotzeit, Dominik Öesterreicher, so expect top quality dishes along with ice cold beers.

To start, we had the Beer Flight ($12), a platter of 4 beers. It was recommended to start with the lightest, lager, and move on from there. The beers were refreshing and great for people who would like to partake in some day drinking.

The highlight of our meal definitely had to be the Brez’n Platter ($88). The platter is a haven for all meat lovers and comes with 4 different hand-made sausages, namely, chicken Hauswurst, Weisswurst, Regensburger sausages and the Thuringer sausage snail.

It is also served with crispy roasted pork knuckle, Braumeister Ripperl, a rack of ribs, a side of sauerkraut, a freshly baked potato and bacon!

Next, we had the Pretzel tree ($12), which consists of 3 freshly-baked pretzels served with Bavarian sweet mustard. The pretzels are all freshly baked and went perfectly with the mustard provided. The pretzels were rather large and was a great dish to start our meal.

We also tried the spinach dumplings ($22), which fyi, are vegetarian and served on a bed of braised red cabbage and cheese to top it all off. This dish was hearty and can even be shared between more than 2 people.

For dessert, we had Kaiserschmarrn ($14), a caramelised and shredded Emperor’s pancake with rum-infused raisins, served together with plum sauce. The pancake reminded us of souffle and the raisins added just the right amount of flavour to the dish.

Brez’n also does Express Lunch sets for only $14! You can choose from the Brez’n Sandwich Leberkäse, a crispy Brez’n roll with oven-baked Bavarian meat loaf slices, Sauerkraut, salad greens, and mustard OR the Brez’n with smoked salmon and honey mustard sauce with Bavarian potato and cheese.
