The Dim Sum Place offers a wide variety of muslim-friendly food, with more than 100 dishes on their menu. Located next to their sister, “The Ramen Stall”, this is the place for you to visit a halal dim sum restaurant with an interesting twist!

Molten Salted Egg Custard Bun ($4.90)

First, we had the Molten Salted Egg Custard Bun a.k.a Liu Sha Bao. Commonly ordered at most dim sum restaurants, the warm salted egg goodness oozes out from the bun. The salted egg was warm and not overly salty, and the bun was soft and easy to breakthrough. Don’t you just love taking all the Insta-worthy boomerang shots whenever that happens!

Molten Salted Egg Pandan Bun ($4.90)

Alternatively, there is the new twist to the ordinary custard bun – the Molten Salted Egg Pandan Bun. Who would have thought that there’s a unique flavour – Pandan Bun? It tastes exactly like the Pandan and it complements well with the molten salted egg. Definitely a unique twist to the classic Salted Egg Custard Bun.

Beef Brisket Noodle (Soup) ($12.90)

And there we have the Beef Brisket Noodle! The star of the dish – the BEEF! It was so tender and it came in huge chunks, definitely worth the price. The soup base is herbal, so if you’re feeling cold or sick, this dish is perfect for you!

Aromatic Garlic Egg Fried Rice ($8.90)

Next up, we have the Aromatic Garlic Egg Fried Rice. We really loved this! The garlic aroma perfumes the rice and with every mouthful, the taste of the garlic engulfs your tastebuds. The rice was fragrant and every grain was infused with the garlic taste. We couldn’t have enough of it!

Shredded Chicken Noodles (Dry) ($6.90)

We tried the Shredded Chicken Noodles which you can choose either the dry or soup option, with three different level of spices – non spicy, spicy, super spicy. The springy noodles were the perfect QQ texture and the shredded chicken was juicy and tender which complimented the noodles well.

Crystal Shrimp Dumpling ($4.90)

The Crystal Shrimp Dumpling served warm in a dim sum basket. The shrimps are fresh and wrapped in the delicate rice-y skin. The prawn still had a nice firm bite and tasted exactly like the classic Har Gao.

Whether you are muslim or not, The Dim Sum Place is one to try. With queues starting before their doors even open, you just know this place serves up delicious food and at an affordable price!
