Hidden away under a HDB Block in Bukit Merah lies a quaint little dessert shop that sells impeccable desserts. This nice and cozy dessert shop is perfect for a rainy day (which was the weather when we dropped by this cafe). While waiting for our food to arrive, we can’t help but compliment the playlist they have playing inside the cafe – nice, chill acoustic songs that are easy on the ears. Furthermore, being just a dessert shop, it has very limited seats, which makes it more compact yet comfortable for customers to dine at. The purpose of this? It has something to do with mono-phobia. This cafe is meant to help curb with mono-phobia, which is the fear of doing things alone, by encouraging customers to mingle in this compact environment. So it has great music, great ambience, so what about the desserts? Well, must say this is the best dessert shop we have ever been to in Singapore so far.

For starters, we went for something really basic. We had the Belgian Waffle with Single Scoop ($8.50). For subsequent scoops, you’ll have to add $2.50. As for premium flavours, add $0.70 per scoop. We tried the Genmaicha (Japanese Green Tea with Roasted Brown Rice) Premium flavour and Earl Grey Tie Guan Yin flavours! Unfortunately, the Genmaicha flavour is not available now as the Japanese green tea flavours are on rotational basis! Both the Genmaicha and Earl Grey flavours are so unique and delectable like I’ve never tasted before. The tastes weren’t too strong so both tasted really good without being gelat!

Of course, we tried their popular Handcrafted Tart with Single Scoop ($9.90). We had the Sunset Kiss which is actually Strawberry and Mango flavoured gelato with salted caramel floss on top! It already looks great for the ‘gram, but it tasted even better. The crispy handcrafted tart is ground almond-based and is apparently a classic French tart! The crispy crust and chewy centre of the tart added some texture to the dessert, and balances out with the sweet and fruity gelato. The salted caramel floss on top just added a little cute little touch to this unique dessert. This is definitely worth a try!

We also had a Single Scoop Gelato ($3.20) with cone (additional $0.80). We tried their new and luscious flavour, Cacao Milk with Honey Cornflakes. The cornflakes added an extra crunch to the gelato and let me tell you, it was better than I expected! You can also try their other new flavour called Hokey Pokey! They serve the classic Affogato ($5.50) in the cafe as well. We had the dark chocolate truffle (premium flavour) gelato, that had brownie chunks at the bottom and some corn flakes at the top! This is a highly recommended flavour for your affogato because the bitter espresso balances out the rich and sweet chocolate taste, creating a flavour unlike any other.

Geometry really surprised me, with each dessert exceeding my expectations again and again. So head down to Geometry to get your dessert fix! Be there or be square!
