You’ve probably waked past POMO mall countless times but have never stepped in to explore. But guess what, you’ve been missing you on this hidden gem in POMO mall. Gu Thai Noodles opens 24/7 and sells Thai Boat Noodles for only $1.90!
Recorded dishes include the Boat Noodles which come in 2 sizes- Small for $1.90 or large for $7.50! Do note that size small is as small as the palm of your hands!! You also get to customise the spicy level and type of noodles.
For appetisers, we had the Thai Papaya Salad ($10) which literally brought us to the Land of Smiles. Not only was the sauce authentic, the vegetables and fruits used were fresh and went very well with the sauce, giving the dish a sweet yet slightly spicy taste.
Another must try is the Chicken Pandan Leave ($12). The presentation was unique, with the fried pork wrapped in pandan leaves. Upon dipping the pork into the sweet and sour sauce, your taste buds will definitely be awed! This dish was so addictive and before we knew it, we had finished everything!
For the mains, we tried something different from the menu offered at Golden Mile. Pad Thai Noodles ($7.50) was the first dish that caught our eyes. It definitely didn’t disappoint and there was a large serving of nuts as well!
For spicy lovers, Tom Yum River Prawn Noodles ($8.50) is a must try! There was a large serving of seafood for such an affordable price!
We also tried the Chicken Coconut Soup ($12) but we did not really fancy it due to the strong coconut taste.
For desserts, the Thai Mango Ice Cream with Sticky Rice ($8) is a must try! With 3 large servings of mango ice cream, you get to try the authentic sticky rice, served along with nuts!
Gu Thai opens daily till 5am and this can definitely be the next supper spot for you!
