Mo-ii means “can do” in Japanese and adopting this ideology, the owner hopes to serve simple healthy food with the best of their ability. Using the freshest and best ingredients, though the food appear simple, you can really expect high-quality food here.
For their Avocado Toasts, we had the Unusual Suspects ($6.50) where there was mashed avocados, tahini, micro greens, cherry tomato and poached eggs. For an addition of Smoked Salmon, you would only need to pay an additional $2.
For pure avocado, one can try Mo-ii & Me ($5.50) where chilli flakes were added to spice the avocado up. We learnt that the bread used was from Maison Keiser where they specially requested sour dough rye. They sliced the bread themselves, and even toast the bread with olive oil. A lot of time, thought and effort were put in for every detail of their dish and we were highly impressed by how intricate the chef is.
We also tried the Mo-ii Powerhouse ($8.90 for regular) where it was an acai bowl filled with jackfruit, honey, strawberry and handmade granola. The granola was especially crispy and fragrant. We got to know that they baked their granola every morning and would just prepare enough for the day.
As for the Coffee, we tried Latte ($4.90). All their coffee are roasted from melbourne beans and air freight to Singapore. Recommended fruit juices would be The Detox Club ($4.50) and Heart Beet ($4.50). The first one was a mix of orange, pineapple and lemon while the latter is a juice made from apple, beetroot, carrot and lemon. The juices were especially refreshing.
Sadly, we did not manage to try the mains as they were already sold out by the time we reached (around 3pm). Most of their food are made daily and their peak hour is in the morning. Most office-goers would grab and go their toasts while the mains would be eaten during lunch time.
We were very impressed by the quality of the food here even though it was just a few simple dishes. Even the complimentary water served must be fruit pressed to give it a tinge of refreshing yet sweet taste! There is also a lot of focus on healthy ingredients and you would be surprised how filling a bowl of acai can be!
