All the dishes here are made in-house except for the ice cream used that are from their partner, Ben & Jerry’s.
Little House of Dreams is a bakery bistro that serves not only typical western style cafe food, they serve dishes that has a local flair in them. Here are some of the food we tried at Little House of Dreams. Let’s start with the savoury dishes. Firstly, we had Chilli Crab Bun. This sandwich was made with brioche that was fragrant and crispy. The crabmeat patty was filled with crabmeat that was well marinated and full of flavour. There were fresh and crunchy vegetables enclosed along with the patty in the homemade brioche. The whole sandwich was moisten with sweet and spicy chilli crab sauce. Secondly, we had Spaghetti Laksa Prawn. The spaghetti was cooked al dente and the prawns in the dish was fresh and huge! The spiciness of the sauce was just right making you go from one bite to another enjoyably.
Next, we tried some of their desserts. We started off with Bloom Pots which was their specialty. This cute little pots of flowers are actually cakes that are topped with different types of flower design according to each flavour. The flower pot is made with silicone and if you takeaway this pretty little dessert, you can even reuse the pot. We had Chocolate Salted Caramel that had purple flowers decorated on it. This dessert was both sweet and savoury at the same time. The caramel was nicely balance with the sweetness and saltiness. We also tried their new Christmas flavour, Hummingbird, a coconut and pineapple flavoured cake which had a very tropical touch to it. This Christmas Bloom Pot is available for the whole of December.
We also tried their Sticky Date Pudding with Ice Cream. The pudding was fluffy and was served with a generous portion of banana slices. The fragrance of the banana and caramel complimented one another. The vanilla ice cream topped on it was from Ben & Jerry’s and it balanced the whole flavour of the dish. Lastly, we had Rainbow Pancakes with Ice Cream that can be found both one the kids menu and dessert menu. This dish was served with 6 coloured pancakes that were fluffy! The caramel, ice cream and strawberries added different flavours and textures to the pancakes. YUM!
For drinks, we had the very pretty Lavender Blue. This purplish blue drink had the light floral aroma of lavender flowers and strawberries were frozen in ice to cool this refreshing soda.
