Located in Changi Village Food Centre, Woon Woon Pek Beehoon is one of the most raved white beehoon in Singapore. What is special about this dish is that the white beehoon is fried before putting into the soup. The seafood is freshly picked everyday.
We tried the Seafood Platter ($30) which comprises of crayfish, lala, sliced fish and flower crab. The serving came with a generous portion of pork lard, spring onion and vegetables. Though this store is opened by the same owners of Fresh Generation, the broth tastes distinctly different. Unlike the rich prawn-flavoured taste for the previous dish we tried, this broth has a sweet seafood taste to it, along with the unique wok-hei tinge.
They crayfish was boiled just nicely and the meat came off the shell easily. The prawns tasted so fresh and they go perfectly with the homemade chilli sauce. The lala was the best part of the dish because it tasted so sweet and chewy.
This giant seafood platter is definitely worth a try and can be shared among 3 pax!
